Captain - Errol Muston
From the age of 7 you could find Errol 'outback', surfing off his home-break in Amanzimtoti, Durban, South Africa. His family's passion for the ocean and travel led them to build their own sailing yacht. When he was in his early teens, the family left South Africa on his first of many Atlantic crossings. Errol was captaining his first 60 foot boats in the Caribbean by the age of 16 and apprenticing as a mechanic. He has continued to work up the professional ladder of yachting for the last 27 years. There are few places he has yet to explore by boat! His contagious good humor and magnetism lends itself to charter. His versatility in all aspects of running a superyacht make for a star host and a well, efficient and fun operation. You will find him happiest when fishing, diving, spearfishing, surfing and organizing a great program of events for all tastes.
Chief Stewardess – Varushca Degenaar
Varushca was born in the small town of Nelspruit in South Africa. Her childhood was spent on her family’s farm, living close to wild animals and nature where she had different kind of pets including her favorite little monkey, Peanut. Once Varushca graduated from high school, she and her best friend were both on the next plane to Florida to try their luck in the yachting industry. She is very excited about her new career path. Varushca has a passion for the hospitality industry and the ocean. She is looking forward to travel the world, meeting new friends, work hard and make people happy with her outgoing and creative personality. When not fulfilling her Stewardess duties, Varushca can be found either jet skiing, swimming or shopping. She also enjoys making photo collages for her friends.
Stewardess – Carli Van Wyk
Carli took a gap year after high school to explore a bit of America. After returning back to South Africa she studied at film school for 3 years. After graduation from filming school she worked in the field for the following 4 years. Although that was an awesome experience she wanted to explore more of the world while she still could and decided on a career change which would allow this. After leaving South Africa she flew 29 hours to the USA to start her new journey. She enjoys trying new things such as food and exploring different places.
Chef – Elani Van Wyk
Elani is originally from South Africa. She found her passion for cooking while working abroad and decided to turn it into my career. She studied and was French trained at Cape Town Hotel School for 3 years to become a chef. She worked as a chef at a catering company for a year and at a Private Reserve for another year. She loves cooking and traveling, so decided to join the yachting industry to combine both of her loves. She enjoys preparing various types of cuisine and experimenting with new styles. She has been in the yachting industry for 3 years now, starting her career off on a 198’ yacht and staying there for over 2 years. Now she lives her dream of making food and seeing the world and is enjoying every minute of it.
First Mate- Jean-François Lapeyre
Jean Francois started his career in Yachting when he was 18. He has worked his way through a decorative array of marine qualifications, starting as a skipper delivering sailing boats from Greece to France, then quickly moving up in the ranks to First Mate on large boats all over the Mediterranean. Yet returned to smaller yachts, preferring the more personal touch. He has dedicated his life to captaining yachts in destinations around the world. Jean Francois prides himself in anticipating every angle and request of his guests. He has meticulous attention to detail, providing excellent customer service. A fruitful character who treats everybody as he would like to be treated. With the support and love of his wife and three boys Jean Francois gives his entire attention to life at Sea.
Deckhand - Kimberleigh van Jaarsveld
Kimberleigh who prefers to go by the name Kim, grew up in a small town in South Africa. She has been in and out of the water from a very young age. She finished school in 2014 and left South Africa to join the yachting industry in early 2015. Being on the water has been in her family for over 50 years with her uncle being part of the South African Sailing team, in addition to her family owning a sailing school in South Africa and the USA. It was only a matter of time before she was on the water. Kim enjoys diving, fishing, wake boarding and photography.
