Chief Officer- Alex Bernhard
Alex joined the yachting industry after spending a significant portion of the last 10 years on commercial vessels up to 950 feet, attaining the rank of Chief Mate and passing his Unlimited Masters exams. After receiving his degree and Unlimited Tonnage Credentials at Massachusetts Maritime Academy, where he spent more time fishing than studying, he has been traveling the world in search of the best game fishing available. Alex strives to be a Waterman in the truest meaning of the word, whether navigating, fishing, paddle-boarding, diving, and swimming. Ever mindful of safety, his passion for the water is sure to be passed on to guests aboard Nita K II.

Second Officer - Sean Fourie
Born in Pretoria and raised in the most buzzing city in South Africa, Johannesburg, Sean is both active and adventurous. He has spent over 11 years in the hospitality industry, including managing a hotel and several restaurants in South Africa. Seans driven personality and thirst for adventure lead him to building a career in Yachting and after completing his Officer of the Watch last year he is striving towards obtaining his Chief Mates License in the next few months. After graduating with a diploma in Hotel Management, Seans passion for the hospitality industry, hands on approach to boating, love for water sports and meeting new people, lead him to his first Yacht. He has since become an invaluable crew member. Away from the boat, Sean can be found on the golf course or capturing stunning images as a keen photographer. He aspires to someday take his knowledge and experience gained throughout his travels and Captain his own Vessel. Bringing years of hospitality experience to yachting, his genuine personality and fair demeanor has Sean providing guest satisfaction for all who come aboard.

Bosun - Doug Norden
Doug is a South African born sport lover, who grew up in Durban, South Africa. Doug is a wonderful person with great morals and a good work ethic. Doug played many sports growing up, most notably golf and cricket, where he is a single digit handicap golfer and represented his Province in indoor cricket. His love for sports resulted in him studying towards a degree in Sports Science and ultimately an Honors Degree in Bio-kinetics from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Dougs profession has taught him how to work with people from all backgrounds which is a great asset in yachting. His experiences of travelling with his family helped grow his interest to explore and broadening his horizons. Dougs easy going personality, and constant willingness to help make him the perfect bosun.

Deck Hand- Gregoire Billaudel
Gregoire was born in France. He graduated, in June 2015, from the Maritime School of La Rochelle and is now in the process of validating his captain certificates 200 UMS, 500 UMS. He is a hard worker, ready to be in charge and can easily adapt to any new situation. Since his childhood, he has been passionate about the sea and marine activities. He developed a team spirit and a great sense of commitment from being a National 3 Water polo player. Having a godmother who has travelled the world by boat definitely inspires his orientation choices.

Chef- Daniel Van Zyl
Originally from South Africa, Daniel has a passion for food, wine and all things related to the culinary arts. He understands food. His style is fresh and uncomplicated with a contemporary flavor palette that includes your international favorites, modern trends and healthy options that every foodie will enjoy. Daniel is not only an exceptional chef, he has extensive knowledge in all aspects of food, restaurants, and budgeting. Daniel studied at Prue Leith Culinary Institute and is fortunate to have been personally trained by top institutes in France, Italy and New York over several years. Daniel started in the yachting industry in 2008 as a sole chef on 27m and then proceeded to move up to head chef on a 50m motor yacht. When Daniel is not in the galley he enjoys being out in nature, doing adventurous things and spending time with his family.

Sous Chef Shirley Mena
Shirley is originally from Costa Rica and grew up in San Jose where she studied at culinary school to become a chef. Since 2008 she has worked in numerous restaurants as well and being a personal Chef, travelling over 20 different towns in the West Coast of the United States. Shirley has only recently joined yachting and is excited for the new opportunities that await. She enjoys outdoor sports, travelling to new destinations and meeting new people.

Chief Engineer - George Bittles
George is originally from Philadelphia, PA and has a strong upbringing in a family where boating is a way of life. Since early childhood he spent his summers with his family on Long Island cruising, maintaining, and repairing vessels up to 70' from the waters of the Great South Bay, Block Island Sound and north of the Cape Cod Canal. After high school he moved to New York full time and began working side by side with one of his relatives in marine A/C, refrigeration and generator sets at Marine Specialists serving the north and south shores of Long Island from Port Jefferson to Montauk. After graduation at The Landing School, he realized he had been paving a path for himself in the yachting industry and began his career as an engineer in 2009. Since then George has served as Engineer on a variety of vessels, from cold-molded one off custom builds to Trans-Atlantic steel hulled Feadships. He has cruised the West Coast of Central America through the Panama Canal, down island through the Caribbean to Trinidad, up the East Coast, and also cruised the Mediterranean Sea including a Trans-Atlantic crossing. He truly has a passion for the water since the early days and will continue his career path in the marine industry for many years to come

Second Engineer - James Shea
James grew up in the Thimble Islands off the Connecticut coast where he developed a precocious passion for the water and adventure. By the early age of 12, he was running 10m landing craft for the village of Stoney Creek and continued to do so until the age of 18, when he decided to leave his parents home in search of new surroundings. After working on Wildlife Excursion Vessels in Alaska for several years, he decided to give yachting a shot and he hasnt looked back. James brings with him a plethora of knowledge accompanied by a vast array of experience which ensures the safety and comfort of Nita K II and her guests.

Stewardess- Sofia Beaumont
Sofia was born and raised on the northern beaches of Queensland, Australia. She grew up diving and fishing on the Great Barrier where her love for the ocean developed. During her study of Business and Tourism Management she decided to follow her brother into the exciting world of motor yachting in 2015. Sofia enjoys sports, traveling and meeting new people along the way.

Second Stewardess - Gabriella Kitching
Gabriella grew up in the English countryside. From school she enjoyed working for various large retail companies, including the past 4 years working for Louis Vuitton whilst living in New Zealand. Gabriellas desire to travel, eagerness to learn and surround herself with different nationalities continued when she pursued her career on the sea joining the Celebrity Cruise ship fleet as retail manager. Gabriella has since been in the yachting industry for 1 year where she truly has found her passion and only questions why she didnt join sooner! She enjoys food, fine wine, cars, animals and music. Gabriella looks forward to welcoming you onboard Nita K II to enjoy, relax and create a memorable vacation.

Third Stewardess - Charlotte Trietchart
Charlotte is originally from the South of France and grew up on the French Riviera. She has an outgoing, energetic personality. She is passionate about fitness, cooking and music. She has recently entered the industry of yachting. She loves and enjoys providing the highest quality of service to guests and owners. She likes to discover new places, different people and culture.

Fourth Stewardess - Katie Robertson
Katie was brought up in North Wales. She has a passion for health, fitness and outdoor activities including running, skiing, water sports and mountain biking. Following school she worked as a Chalet Host in Courchevel. She then went on to study Sports, Coaching and P.E at Oxford Brookes University. This led her to work at The Queens Tennis Club as P.A to the CEO and Tournament Organizer for 2 years. Her love of adventure and the outdoors has bought her to yachting.
